Motorola Xoom Tablet: Google’s First Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet

Motorola has launched a new tablet, the Motorola Xoom. But we have heard that sales are not going so well due to the release of apple ipad2 at approximately the same time. But let me give you a brief review of this new tablet so as to help you better decide as to which tablet to buy. This new tablet runs on the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Operating System. A 5 MP front facing camera and a 2Mp rear camera with digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash is what the tablet has to offer.

The device has the 10 inch HD display and Widescreen with resolution of 1280x 800 pixels. This will allow the user to get a better experience on this light, thin and powerful tablet. The tablet operates on the CDMA band. GPS with A-GPS support, Bluetooth, GPRS, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, USB slot all the features the phone incorporates. Google mobile services like Gmail, Google Maps, Gtalk with Video Chat, Google Ebooks, YouTube are all inherited by this tablet. The tablet weighs about 730 gms, and the size is 249.1 x 167.8 x 12.9 mm.

The tablet is tagged at about $800. The main advantage of this tablet is enjoying the Android Honeycomb OS. Other mobile manufacturers are still working on introducing tablets run on this OS and we won’t be seeing any releases soon.
